3793541 - Unable to deactivate application servers in SM51

Symptom

  • After deactivating application servers in SM51, the system displays the message indicating that application server deactivated successfully. However, after refreshing the transaction, the application servers still appear with an "Active" status instead of the expected "Passive" status.
  • The system is managed by SAP´s operations teams or SAP Cloud Services.
  • The system's kernel version support two parameters restrict_admin/actions and restrict_admin/admin_clients (To verify system's kernel version, refer to this SAP Note 3286240 - Client administrative actions restrictions (main note) )
