• Checklist items are assigned to the manager in New Hire Activities, but no due date or timing is shown in the task list.
• The checklist task displays a Start button; after selecting items and submitting, the task does not progress and the Start button remains.
• Items selected from the checklist do not appear within the task after submission.
• No error message is shown; a generic success message may appear upon submission.
• The checklist task may close with the overall process when onboarding completes, although it is intended to remain available longer.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Sign in with appropriate permissions and proxy as the hiring manager (or a user in the hiring manager role).
2. Open Onboarding and select an onboardee with the Checklist task assigned.
3. Click Start on the Checklist task, select one or more checklist items, and submit.
4. Observe that a success message may appear, but the task does not change state and the Start button remains. The selected items do not appear inside the task.

This is expected behavior: the Checklist activity is only marked as completed when all checklist items are completed. Selecting or partially completing items without completing all of them will not progress or complete the activity.

1. Complete all checklist items assigned within the Checklist activity. The activity will only move out of the Start state and be marked as completed after all items are completed.
2. If responsibility or assignment needs to be adjusted, configure delegation/assignment at the Checklist task level (not at subtask level), then test with a newly initiated onboarding.
3. After configuration changes, validate with a fresh onboarding instance that all items can be completed and that the activity completes as expected.
