3793733 - LegelEntity object is inactive-1H2026

An error occurs while attempting to load the corporate data model: "Invalid file format specified. Please ensure the imported file is in XML format. org.xml.sax.SAXException: Unexpected element country-specific-fields".

The LegalEntity object is inactive and cannot be activated, returning the error: "An application error occurred. Please try again later, or notify support (with the error information of errorID=3f3320ce-5e39-4260-b197-63ed9b104632, timestamp=2026-07-16T06:42:52.397+0000, and the version information from the current screen) if the issue keeps occurring".

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Go to Object definition.
2. Select Legal Entity.
3. Select Yes for Include Inactive Records.
4. Change the status from Inactive to Active.
5. Select Save.

The Legal Entity object definition itself is inactive, causing the system to throw a generic "Invalid file format" error.

The issue occurs because the LegalEntity field is used as a business key in some other object definition. During activation, the system validates business key fields and encounters an error when the referenced object definition is inactive.

This is a known issue.  

This issue will get resolve in 1H2027 release .
