Symptom

There is no option to mass upload recurring journal entries via an Excel template.


Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open Mange Recurring Journal Entries app.
  2. There is no option to mass upload recurring journal entries.

Cause

It is not possible to mass upload Recurring Journal Entries using Fiori app "Manage Recurring Journal Entries".

Resolution

  • The app Manage Recurring Journal Entries was not developed for mass upload of Journal Entries as it was developed in app F2548 - Upload General Journal Entries.
  • A recurring journal entry is a business transaction that is repeated regularly, for example, the deferral of costs or revenues for an invoice where the same amount is posted over a period of 12 months. It consists of a template journal entry and a recurrence rule attached to it. A recurring journal entry by itself is not a journal entry; rather, the posting of journal entries are triggered from it.
