3793808 - Inactive benefit enrollment record automatically created with effective date january 1, 2027

An inactive record for the benefit enrollment is being created automatically with effective date January 1, 2027 by the system

• SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Sign in and navigate to Manage Data > Benefit Enrollment.
2. Search for an impacted user’s enrollment.
3. Observe that an inactive enrollment record exists with effective date January 1, 2027 and the same time slice as the last modified record

A product defect in Global Benefits causes automatic creation of an inactive future-dated benefit enrollment record when the enrollment is updated.

A fix to this issue will be delivered via patch.  For preview environment the plan is to deliver it on August 25, 2026 and for production on August 27, 2026.

After the patch is applied, verify that editing a benefit enrollment no longer creates an inactive record dated January 1, 2027 with the same time slice.

If the behavior persists after the patch, please contact support for further analysis.
