3793896 - SYSTEM_NO_ROLL dump during PTP employee data replication (ixml parsing)

Symptom

  • Dump when running the PTP replication.
  • Runtime error: SYSTEM_NO_ROLL.
  • Short text in dump: “The memory request for XXX bytes could not be complied with.”
  • Job cancels with process termination; refer to system log.
  • Termination occurs in XML parsing layer (CL_IXML / IF_IXML_PARSER~PARSE) while processing QUERY_MORE response.
  • Symptoms can also appear in other XML/SOAP consumers when overall ABAP memory is exhausted (for example, “no memory available” popups).
  • Many parallel work processes started by this job caused the extended and heap memory of application servers to be completely used.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
