3794067 - Dump occurs when displaying message queue in warehouse monitor

Symptom

  • ABAP programming error dump occurs when opening the Message Queue node in Warehouse Monitor.
  • Occurs when Warehouse Monitor → Tools → Message Queue is started without additional selection.
  • Runtime error: APCRFC_OVERLAY_ERROR.
  • Overwriting error in RFC call parameter "IS_QALS_CHANGED".
  • ABAP program: /SCWM/SAPLDELIVERY_MQ_REPLAY.
  • Termination reported in include /SCWM/LDELIVERY_MQ_REPLAYU07; related to /SCWM/QLOT_SET_LOT_*.
  • RFC compatibility mode notes offset-based transfer with character-like requirement; sender/receiver structure mismatch indicated.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open Warehouse Monitor for any warehouse.
  2. Navigate to Tools → Message Queue.
  3. Start the list without adding any selection criteria.
  4. Observe that an ABAP runtime error (APCRFC_OVERLAY_ERROR) is raised immediately.

Cause

The dump occurs while displaying stuck queues related to inspection lots, the inspection lots has been completed for Usage recording and stock has been changed accordingly. The stuck queues are intended to change the inspection lots.

these stuck queues will not cause any system updates, as the associated Inspection Lots have already been fully completed. Therefore, there is no functional impact on your system operations.

Resolution

  1. As an immediate workaround, you can exclude Inspection Lot-related stuck queues from the display by filtering out entries with the queue name pattern QSLS* when viewing the stuck queue list in the Warehouse Monitor. Please refer to the attached screenshot for the configuration steps. 
  2. To resolve the issue, you may raise a case to SAP Support with component SCM-EWM-QM-2CL to remove the unnesscary stuck queues for inspection lots.
