3794103 - Warning During Service Confirmation: “Copying Item XX Not Possible; Reference Item Not Delivered”

When attempting to confirm service execution for Service Order ABC, the following warning appears on the New Service Confirmation page:

"Copying item XX not possible; reference item not delivered."

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to the Service Order work center.
2. Select the Service Order Processing view.
3. Open Service Order ABC.
4. Click Submit and select Confirm Service Execution.
5. On the New Service Confirmation page, the following warning appears:

"Copying item XX not possible; reference item not delivered."

The item is a Spare Part – Advanced Ship or Sales item and has not yet been delivered. Therefore, the system does not allow the Service Confirmation to be performed until the corresponding Outbound Delivery is completed.

Complete the Outbound Delivery for the relevant spare-part item first.

Once the item is delivered, proceed with the Service Confirmation. The item can then be copied successfully, and the warning will no longer occur.
