Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a billing document using the Create Billing Documents - VF01 app.
  2. Use a company code that applies Tax Jurisdiction (for example, US or Canada).
  3. Release the billing document to accounting.
  4. Observe error FF799: System error: Default TXJCD is not filled in the table T001.

Cause

  • The default tax jurisdiction code for non-taxable transactions is missing or not maintained at the state level in the configuration activity Assign Tax Codes for Non-Taxable Transactions.
  • This incorrect or missing default causes the FF799 error during posting to accounting.

Resolution

  1. Open CBC (Central Business Configuration) or the Manage Your Solution app.
  2. Go to the configuration activity Assign Tax Codes for Non-Taxable Transactions (102602).
  3. For company codes that use Tax Jurisdiction (for example, US or Canada), ensure a default Tax Jurisdiction is maintained for non-taxable transactions.
  4. Maintain the default Tax Jurisdiction at the state level to be used as the fallback for non-taxable transactions.
  5. If applicable, use the pre-delivered example value 7700000000 or adjust to your required state-level jurisdiction code.
