Symptom
- Error FF799 occurs: System error: Default TXJCD is not filled in the table T001.
- The issue happens when releasing a sales billing document to accounting.
- It affects company codes that use Tax Jurisdiction (for example, US or Canada).

Reproducing the Issue
- Create a billing document using the Create Billing Documents - VF01 app.
- Use a company code that applies Tax Jurisdiction (for example, US or Canada).
- Release the billing document to accounting.
- Observe error FF799: System error: Default TXJCD is not filled in the table T001.
Cause
- The default tax jurisdiction code for non-taxable transactions is missing or not maintained at the state level in the configuration activity Assign Tax Codes for Non-Taxable Transactions.
- This incorrect or missing default causes the FF799 error during posting to accounting.
Resolution
- Open CBC (Central Business Configuration) or the Manage Your Solution app.
- Go to the configuration activity Assign Tax Codes for Non-Taxable Transactions (102602).
- For company codes that use Tax Jurisdiction (for example, US or Canada), ensure a default Tax Jurisdiction is maintained for non-taxable transactions.
- Maintain the default Tax Jurisdiction at the state level to be used as the fallback for non-taxable transactions.
- If applicable, use the pre-delivered example value 7700000000 or adjust to your required state-level jurisdiction code.
