3794373 - BDC formation failing with error: Tenant is locked

Symptom

Errors occurred while synchronizing. Choose Resynchronize to restart the synchronization process. If the problem persists, report a case in the BDC-TMAP-DSP component and provide the formation ID "{formation_id}" together with the following technical details:

  • • Synchronization between SAP Datasphere System {tenant} and SAP Business Data Cloud System {tenant} has failed.
    – SAP Business Data Cloud System {tenant} returned a technical error for assignment with ID {id}:
    "Operation: assign has failed. Receiver Tenant State: ERROR, Formation Tenant State: CONFIG_PENDING, Receiver Tenant Application Namespace: sap.bdc-cockpit. Error: Tenant is locked"
