3794416 - Unable to set restriction for profit center in Post General Journal Entries - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Despite having set restrictions on profit centers for the relevant roles, users can still post to other profit centers in the Post General Journal Entries app.

1. Open the Post General Journal Entries app.
2. Post a journal entry to a cost center and/or profit center outside the authorized scope; the system allows posting.

The Post General Journal Entries app uses the business catalog SAP_FIN_BC_GL_JE_PROC_PC. Cost center and Profit Center write restrictions do not apply in the business catalog SAP_FIN_BC_GL_JE_PROC_PC. Use the app Business Catalogs to find which write/read/value help restrictions can be applied in the business catalog, or Display IAM Apps to find the relevant restriction types. 

Create a validation rule in the Manage Substitution / Validation Rules app to prevent users from posting to unexpected profit centers.
