3794454 - adapt ui variant changes to table columns not persisted after save and activation in odata v4 fiori apps (sap s/4hana cloud public edition)

Symptom

  • Key user adjustments are not persistently applied after saving and activating a page variant.
  • Deleting/adding table columns on list or object pages appears to work but is lost after closing Adapt UI and restarting the app.
  • After app reload, added columns are missing and removed columns reappear.
  • The variant sometimes appears as edited immediately after reload.

Environment

  • SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
  • SAP UI5 Runtime Adaptation

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Start the Adapt UI assistant.
  2. Remove two columns: Start date and time, End date and time.
  3. Add two columns: Start date, End date.
  4. Reorder the columns.
  5. Save as a new page variant.
  6. Activate the adjustments.
  7. Exit the Adapt UI assistant.
  8. Reload the application.

Resolution

Update SAPUI5 to a version 1.136.21 or higher.
