3794556 - Custom Fields Cannot Change Data Type From TEXT to NUMBER SAP S/4HANA

Symptom

  • After creating the report ZZCFD_CHANGE_FIELDTYPE successfully, following the SAP Note 3567408, the custom field with type TEXT still cannot be changed to type NUMBER.
  • Changing the field type in the report ZZCFD_CHANGE_FIELDTYPE shows the error:
    Field ZZ1_<FieldName>, conversion to type NUMBER not supported.
