3794891 - People search displays incorrect name due to mismatched display name in UDF

The name shown in People Search does not match the First Name and Last Name fields on the employee's profile.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Log in to SuccessFactors.
2. Search for a specific user.
3. Observe that People Search shows a name that differs from the name maintained in the user's basic information (First name and Last name).

The display name field is set to a value that differs from the employee's actual first name and last name maintained in basic information. 

People Search displays the value stored in the Display Name field of the UDF, not the First Name or Last Name fields directly. To verify whether the Display Name is correct, follow the steps below:

1. Go to Admin center.
2. Access Employee export.
3. Export user file.
4. Locate the affected user in the exported file.
5. Review the Display Name column.

If the value in the Display Name field differs from the user's correct name, this discrepancy is what is causing the mismatch in People Search.
