3794951 - Smart Data Access remote connection to MSSQL secondary fails with "Microsoft][ODBC Driver 18 for SQL Server]Invalid attribute"

Symptom

  • When adding an external Microsoft SQL Server remote source via SDA (Smart Data Access), the operation fails.
  • Error: "SAP DBTech JDBC: [403]: internal error: Cannot get remote source objects: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver 18 for SQL Server]Invalid attribute value"
  • ODBC error state HY024 "Invalid attribute value" occurs during SetReadOnly.
  • Network connectivity test using isql -v succeeds, but remote source creation still fails.
