3795167 - Application visible in Legacy workbench but missing in Latest Applicant Workbench - Recruiting Management

Symptom

  • Duplicate job applications of the candidate for the job requisition is visible in Legacy Workbench, but missing in Latest Applicant Workbench. Only one job application of the candidate for the job requisition is visible in Latest Applicant Workbench.
  • Can anonymized applications be visible in the Latest workbench ?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Resolution

This is an expected behavior of the Latest Applicant Workbench when duplicate applications are created due to race condition within milliseconds gap via OData API. Legacy Workbench shows both the job applications of the same candidate under the same job requisition, but Latest Applicant Workbench will show only the latest one where the duplicate older application will be disposed and anonymized automatically when the job requisition is closed. Legacy workbench cannot understand if it’s a duplicate application of the same candidate, thus it displays the data present in the database and the duplicates are visible.

But it's not the same case with Latest Applicant Workbench. Latest Applicant Workbench will show only the latest application if duplicate applications are created via OData.

Also - Anonymized applications and applications marked for anonymization are not displayed in the new tool as only applicants on whom you can perform actions are visible.  If you would like to see any applicants in the following statuses, then you will need to switch to the legacy workbench or consider using reporting functionalities. 

      • Deleted on Demand by Admin

      • Deleted on Demand by Candidate

      • Declined DPCS

The above statuses will still be visible in the New Redesigned Applicant Workbench with application count 0. Engineering team has considered to hide these statuses appearing in New Applicant Workbench going forward in any of the upcoming releases.

As a result, the number of candidates and active candidates which are displayed on the job requisition summary page can be different from the count in the new workbench.
