3795735 - MRP: component of VC phantom is rounded up in planned order due to UoM.

Symptom

In t-code MD13, open a planned order and check the component list, you observed that:

  •  component’s requirement qty does not match the parent phantom (configuration material) qty after variant configuration is applied.
    - phantom item quantity is adjusted by a dependency to a fractional value (for example, 0.894),
    - while the exploded actual component shows a whole number (for example, 1).
  • On conversion to a production order,
the rounded component quantity from the planned order is copied, resulting in an unexpected whole-number requirement.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
