3795821 - Unable to edit Story Report due to Language Difference

• Unable to edit a story if the user's Data Access Language differs from the Source Language of the Story Report.
• When selecting Edit, the option is greyed out with a hint message stating: "Edit is only supported in the source language. The story's source language is English."

1. Log on to SuccessFactors
2. Create a new story while the user's Data Access Language is set to English (United States), for example.
3. Change the user's Data Access Language to another language and then open the story.
   → The Edit button is available, allowing the user to edit the story in a different Data Access Language. 
4. Change the user's Data Access Language back to English (United States) and then open the story in Edit mode.
5. Go to File > Edit Story > Story Details, and then select Enable Translation.
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
6. Save the changes and then perform Step 3 again.
   → The Edit button becomes unavailable (grayed out), with a hint message stating: "Edit is only supported in the source language. The story's source language is English."

• This is by-design.
• After enabling translation, the story itself can only be edited in the source language to ensure that only one copy of the original text exists for the source language.

• Option 1: Disable translation in the affected story if you want to edit the story report in different language.
• Option 2: Always edit the story in the source language.
