SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Import Collections app.
2. Start an import of a software collection.
3. Observe the information banner: "External deployment is active. Some features are disabled."

External deployment via SAP Cloud ALM (CALM) is active in the system landscape, which causes certain features in the Import Software Collections app to be disabled and displays the informational banner.

• This banner is expected behavior when external deployment through SAP Cloud ALM is active.

• In case external deployment is active, the following features are disabled:

  • the automation settings won't have an effect, but can be modified

  • postprocessing is not possible

  • the quality assurance settings can't be modified

• An additional column (External Feature ID) is available showing the feature ID of the software collection version set by the external deployment.
