3795896 - Field order in the Emergency Contact Information portlet within the Latest People Profile does not follow the sequence configured in Manage Business Configuration (BCUI).

Symptom

The field order configured for the Emergency Contact Information portlet in Manage Business Configuration (BCUI) is not reflected when users select Edit Details in the Latest People Profile.

However, The field order is displayed correctly when viewing the employee record.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Manage Business Configuration.
  2. Open the Emergency Contact Information HRIS element.
  3. Configure the fields in a specific order and save the changes.
      
  4. Access Employee Profile and open the Emergency Contact Information portlet.
    1. Observe that the fields follow the order configured in BCUI.
      Verify the field order when viewing.
        

    2. Click Edit Details.
      Observe that the field order does not match the sequence configured in Manage Business Configuration.
        

Cause

This is an standard system behavior.

Resolution

This behavior is standard and expected.

If the requirement is to have the field order displayed exactly as configured in Manage Business Configuration, enable the latest editing experience for People Profile:

  1. Navigate to Configure Latest People Profile.
  2. Open General Settings.
  3. Enable "Enable the latest editing and History UI for Employee Central HRIS entities on Full Profile".
  4. Save the changes.
  5. Access the Emergency Contact Information portlet again.

After enabling this setting, the portlet will use the Latest Editing UI, and the field order will be displayed according to the sequence maintained in Manage Business Configuration (BCUI).
