3795978 - Unable to add data model to story using datasphere tunnel connection in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Adding a data model to a story via a Datasphere Tunnel connection is not possible; the action completes with no error but the model is not added to the story.
• Browser console error:
  Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'sDatasetId')
  at Module.e (app.chunk.liveConnec….js:2:4631)
  at Object._initRemoteModel (app.chunk.dm-chunk….js:177:40796).
• The same model can be used on the data analyzer.

• SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.15.3
• Tunnel live connection

1. Log in to SAP Analytics Cloud
2. Create a new story
3. Choose to add a data model.
4. Select a Datasphere Tunnel connection.
5. Search for and select an analytic model.
6. Add the data model.
7. Observe that the model is not added to the story and no error is displayed.

Under investigation by development team.

The fix was applied on August 22nd.
