3796087 - Error LB139 occurs when maintaining proportion or product units in material master data

When you attempt to maintain proportion units in material master data, error LB139 "No characteristics of batch class & fulfil the format requirements" appears.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the material master data and attempt to maintain/assign proportion or product units for a batch-managed material.
2. Save or validate the entry.
3. The system displays error LB139.

Batch class characteristics for proportion or product units do not meet the required format.

When proportion or product units need to be assigned, the relevant characteristic data maintained in the Manage Characteristics app must fulfil the required format specifications:

• Characteristic value assignment: single value
• Data type: numeric
• Format specifications: no negative values
• Input control: interval values allowed
