3796148 - Configuring Withholding Tax Account Determination for a Country/Region Not Available for Selection

The required country/region is not available for selection when configuring Withholding Tax account determination.

SAP Business ByDesign

1.Go to Business Configuration Work Center.
2.Navigate to Overview.
3.Open the activity Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination.
4.Navigate to Account Determination and select the Tax subtab.
5.Select the relevant Accounting Profile (for example, CAES).
6.Navigate to Withholding Tax.
7.Open the Country/Region drop-down list.
   For example, India is available for selection, but Spain is not available for selection..

The required country/region is not assigned to the relevant Accounting Profile.

1.Go to Business Configuration work center.
2.Navigate to Overview.
3.Open the activity Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination.
4.Navigate to Account Determination and select the Tax subtab.
5.Select the relevant Accounting Profile.
6.Select Assign Countries/Regions to Profile.
7.Select Add Row and add the required country/region.
   For example, if Spain is required, add Spain (ES) to the relevant Accounting Profile.
8.Save the changes.
9.Navigate to Withholding Tax.
10.Open the Country/Region drop-down list.
11.The newly assigned country/region is now available for selection.
  For example, Spain will now be available for selection along with India.
