3796152 - Batch determination proposes single batch and shows infinite quantity (9,999,999,999) available when checking group is set to NC

When the checking group of the material is set to NC, the system proposes only one batch during batch determination in goods movement, and the ATP quantity of that batch is displayed as infinite quantity (9,999,999,999) instead of being proposed based on actual stock.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open Post Goods Movement APP.
2. Select Goods Issue and enter an order.
3. Choose the Stock Determination function and start batch determination.

As designed, when the checking group is set to NC (no ATP check), batch determination during goods movements does not evaluate actual stock and displays an infinite quantity (9,999,999,999), which can result in only one batch being proposed.

If batch determination during post goods movement should be based on actual stock, please maintain the checking group in the material master data as ST, SR, or another appropriate checking group according to your business requirements.
