Symptom

In Directory Search with Advanced Search within People Profile how Popular tags are determined and displayed.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open People Profile and navigate to Directory Search.
  2. Select Advanced Search.
  3. Observe the Popular tags section and number of tags shown

Cause

  • Advanced Search displays the top 20 most assigned popular tags.
  • The number of Popular tags shown in Advanced Search is not configurable.

Resolution

  • Popular tags are global and not influenced by a user’s recent searches or history.
  • Advanced Search displays up to 20 Popular tags (top 20 by assignment).
  • The number of Popular tags displayed cannot be changed via configuration.
  • The platform supports up to 100 tags in total
