• Error "The user doesn't have permission to access the requested resource" when accessing cds view via sac s/4hana import connection in SAC
• The issue occurs only for CDS views exposed under a custom OData namespace (not under /sap).

• SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.8.17
• Import Data Connections to SAP S/4HANA

1. Login to SAC 
2. Navigate to Modeler --> Model --> Start with data --> Next
3. Select SAP S/4HANA as data source
4. Select an existing Import Connection to SAP S/4HANA --> Next
5. Select a CDS view/query "XYZ" --> Continue

Notice : Error: "The user doesn't have permission to access the requested resource."

• This is an expected behavior.
• SAP Analytics Cloud SAP S/4HANA Import Connections support only CDS views exposed under the standard SAP OData namespace. CDS views exposed through custom OData namespaces (for example: /sap/opu/odata/<Custom_namespace>/<service_name>

Use the OData connection type in SAP Analytics Cloud to acquire data from CDS views exposed under custom namespaces.
