3796375 - Unable to create a custom field at Header Level in the Post Goods Movement app

Unable to create a custom field at Header Level for "Post Goods Movement" (MIGO). 

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Access the "Custom Fields and Logic" app.
2. Create a new custom field for Material Document Header level.
3. Observe that there is no business context available for Material Document Header.

This functionality is currently not supported in standard SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.

Custom fields in Inventory Management are currently only supported at the item level via the Business Context MATERIALDOCUMENTITEM (Inventory Management: Material Document Item).

An extension request can be submitted through the SAP Customer Influence Portal for future releases. 

As a workaround, custom fields can be implemented at the Item level. This is explained in the the step-by-step guide in KBA 3700600 - How to add a custom field at Item Level in the Post Goods Movement app.

Note: A custom field cannot be updated after an MM Document has posted. The MM Document must be reversed/canceled and reposted with the correct custom field value.
