3796493 - Mass Enablement of Initiate IAS Upgrade and Activate IAS tasks to enforce migration to IAS

In the "Monitoring Tool for SAP Cloud Identity Services Integration", the following unexpected behavior is observed:

• The Initiate Upgrade task shows a status of Completed for the SuccessFactors tenant.

On SuccessFactors provisioning, you observe that: 

• The Activate Upgrade task also shows a status of Completed, even though the Activate phase is not scheduled until October 2026 as per Mass Enablement of Initiate IAS Upgrade and Activate IAS tasks to Enforce Migration to IAS
• Despite the Activate Upgrade showing as Completed, the IAS asserting party is not enabled.

• SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
• SAP Cloud Identity Services – Identity Authentication IAS
• SAP Cloud Identity Services – Identity Provisioning IPS

1. Log in to your SuccessFactors tenant.
2. Navigate to "Monitoring Tool for SAP Cloud Identity Services Integration".
3. Confirm that Initiate Upgrade shows status Completed.
4. (SAP Support/Partners only) Verify on the provisioning side that Activate Upgrade also shows status Completed.
5. Confirm that the IAS asserting party is not enabled, despite the Activate upgrade shows completed

• Initiate Upgrade — Completed (Expected): The mass enablement of the Initiate IAS Upgrade task has begun according to the published schedule. It is expected for this status to appear as Completed in the Monitoring Tool.
• Activate Upgrade — Completed in provisioning (Unexpected): The Activate phase is scheduled for October, 2026 and should not yet be in a Completed state.

• The Initiate Upgrade Completed status is correct and expected behavior aligned with the SAP Community - Mass Enablement of Initiate IAS Upgrade and Activate IAS tasks to Enforce Migration to IAS.
• The Activate Upgrade Completed status is a known issue and will be fixed for Preview on Sep 8th and Production on Sep 10th, 2026. After this time, the Activate Upgrade will be reverted and not shown in Provisioning anymore.
  • Note: Functional impact is limited, as the IAS asserting party has not been activated despite the incorrect status display.
  • In the meantime, to correct the Activate upgrade status, customers can reach out via Support Case under LOD-SF-PLT-IAS component.
