3797085 - Error "No Authority to Change the Data of View V_DFPAY_XREL" When Saving Selection Variant in SSCUI 102238 - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

When attempting to save a new selection variant in SSCUI 102238 (Create/Assign Selection Variants - Alternative), the following error is returned:

"No authority to change the data of view V_DFPAY_XREL - Payment Medium Format: Relation of Field to Format." (Message no. S_BCFG_API061)

• Open SSCUI 102238 - Create/Assign Selection Variants (Alternative).
• Maintain the company code, house bank, and sequence number.
• Enter a value in the Selection Variant field.
• Choose Save.
• Observe the error "No authority to change the data of view V_DFPAY_XREL. Message no. S_BCFG_API061."

SSCUI 102238 and V_DFPAY_XREL requires the business catalog SAP_CA_BC_IC_LND_FIN_AP0_PC. Even when the catalog is correctly assigned with unrestricted write access, the authorization profile for the business role may not be properly generated, causing the system to deny write access to view V_DFPAY_XREL.

Regenerate the authorization profile for the affected business role by performing the following steps:

1. Open the Maintain Business Roles app.
2. Navigate to the business role assigned to the affected user that contains required the business catalog.
3. Remove business catalog SAP_CA_BC_IC_LND_FIN_AP0_PC from the role and save the change.
4. Add business catalog SAP_CA_BC_IC_LND_FIN_AP0_PC back to the role and save again.

This clears the authorization buffer and regenerates the profile. Verify that the error is resolved by attempting to save a selection variant in SSCUI 102238.
