3797329 - Item hierarchy service error in Manage Purchase Requisition and Service Entry Sheet after S/4HANA upgrade

Symptom

  • Users encounter the following warning message in Fiori apps Manage Purchase Requisition and Service Entry Sheet: 'You can only add items manually because the item hierarchy service is not active. Please create an incident for SAP support on component MM-PUR-SVC-SES.'
  • Items cannot be added automatically; only manual item addition is possible.
  • The issue persists even when the mm_ihs_reuses1 service is already activated.
  • Affected apps: Manage Purchase Requisitions, Service Entry Sheet.
