• In the Project Control - Enterprise Project creation app, the Plant field is not available on the initial Create screen.
• Users must first create and save the Enterprise Project, then reopen it in Edit mode to maintain the Plant field.
• Result: The Plant field can only be maintained after the initial save.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Project Control - Enterprise Project.
2. Create a new Enterprise Project.
3. Observe that the Plant field is not available on the initial creation screen.
4. Save the project.
5. Reopen the project in Edit mode.
6. Maintain the Plant field and save again.

• A Plant is optional at the project-header level and is not required for every enterprise project.
• The Plant is determined based on the company code. During project creation, the company code is derived from the cost center assigned to the project. Since the cost center may be changed during project creation, the company code may also have to be changed. Therefore, the Plant is not allowed to be entered at the initial stage.

This is standard system behaviour; maintain the Plant after the initial save by reopening the project in Edit mode.
