3798157 - Rows Collapse with Super-condensed Height in SAP Analytics Cloud

Symptom

  • When Row Height is set to Super-condensed in SAP Analytics Cloud, the table fails to display with the intended condensed layout.
  • The final records collapse, rendering data invisible to users.
  • When switching to an alternative Row Height and returning to Super-condensed, rows overlap inappropriately.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log on to SAP Analytics Cloud.
  2. Launch a story containing tables.
  3. In the Styling panel, set the Row Height to Super Condensed.
  4. Observe that the table styling appears unchanged compared to the default Row Height.
  5. Scroll down the table and notice that some rows are collapsed, displaying hidden data. When expanding these rows, additional data becomes visible.

Cause

  • The behavior is a result of the line-height being explicitly overridden through Custom CSS.
  • Both settings—from the styling panel and from CSS—are trying to influence the row heights at the same time.
  • Since Custom CSS takes precedence over the styling configured through the application panel, the value defined in the CSS is applied instead of the panel configuration.

Resolution

To resolve the overlapping of rows, do either of the following:

  • Remove Custom CSS from the table.
  • Replace the current line-height with the standard value in the Custom CSS to allow the Custom CSS configuration to remain in place.
