Symptom

Not able to maintain the configuration entries for the configuration activity "Enable Value Chain Types for Combination of Document Type and Item Category (ID: 107329)".

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the configuration activity "Enable Value Chain Types for Combination of Document Type and Item Category (ID: 107329)".
  2. Attempt to edit or create entries.
  3. Observe that maintenance is blocked due to missing authorization.

Cause

One of the reasons is that the IAM app S_ER9_52002646_TRAN is not set to active in the business role (Business Role Template ID: SAP_BR_BPC_EXPERT) assigned to the user, preventing maintenance of the configuration activity "Enable Value Chain Types for Combination of Document Type and Item Category (ID: 107329)".

Resolution

  1. Open the "Maintain Business Roles" app.
  2. Identify the business role assigned to the user that is intended to allow maintenance of Sales configuration activities.
  3. Navigate to the "IAM Apps" tab of that business role.
  4. Set the IAM app S_ER9_52002646_TRAN to Active.
  5. Save the changes.
