3798234 - Login Dates Displayed Incorrectly in Story Reports Compared with Manage General Audit

• The correct login dates are not being displayed in a Story Report.
• Discrepancies are observed between data from Manage General Audit (User Login) and the Story Report (Login Data).

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Navigate to Manage General Audit and generate a User Login Report for a specific date range
2. Navigate to Report Center and generate a Login Data Story Report using the same date range
3. Compare the results from both reports and notice that the login entries and dates are displayed differently, few entries are missing from either of the reports.

• The Login Data Story Report includes API login records, while the User Login report in Manage General Audit does not include API logins.
• Proxy login events are not included as “login” in either report; however, proxy “logout” events may appear in Manage General Audit, which can create entries present in the audit but not in the Story Report.

1. Acknowledge scope differences when comparing reports: Story Reports (Login Data) include API logins; Manage General Audit (User Login) excludes them. Also note that proxy login events are not recorded as logins (proxy logout may appear only in the audit).
2. If you want to exclude API logins from the Story Report to align closer with Manage General Audit, enable the Provisioning setting “Disable API Login Audit Data” (refer KBA 2780420 - Disable API Login Audit Data) Engage your partner to apply this setting.
3. Alternatively, keep API login data enabled and filter out API-driven activity in your Story Report based on your internal criteria/patterns.
4. When investigating proxy activity, consider that only proxy logout can surface in Manage General Audit; there is no corresponding proxy login in either report, so perfect one-to-one alignment is not expected.
