3798329 - Error when creating SuccessFactors live connection

Symptom

  • Error "Sorry, we encountered an issue in processing the copy connection."
  • HTTP trace shows the action is pending with copyconnection request

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud Enterprise

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Connections and select Add.
  2. Select Connect to Live Data – Cloud Application.
  3. Choose Application: SuccessFactors, then enter the SuccessFactors application URL and Company ID.
  4. Continue to create the connection; the UI becomes unresponsive and later shows the error message.

Resolution

Use SuccessFactors CSD URL instead of non-CSD URL. See this KBA 2089448 - SuccessFactors Data Center Name, Location, URL, Domain Name, Mail Server details, SFTP details and Outbound IP addresses for how to find CSD URL.
