When scanning the barcode through web browser it throws an error as the scanner is outputting GS1 control characters, but the browser input field cannot represent them in the same way the custom application can.
In some cases the Group Separator (as GS) is simply dropped, but some browsers can also switch to a next or previous tab and disappears or even duplicates some other digits from the scanned code.
