3798413 - Product Hierarchy was locked: "This hierarchy timeframe is being edited by Upload Job." after failed upload in Manage Product Hierarchies- SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

After a failed hierarchy upload job, the message: "This hierarchy timeframe is being edited by Upload Job." appears when attempting to edit in Manage Product Hierarchies app. The hierarchy cannot be edited.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Manage Product Hierarchies app.
2. Choose Import from Spreadsheet to upload the hierarchy.
3. Check the Application Jobs - Import/Export Global Hierarchies
4. Job failed with Error: "An error occurred. Please create an incident on component 'FI-FIO-GL-HIE-2CL'."
5. Attempt to edit the relevant hierarchy in Manage Product Hierarchy app
6. Observe the message MSG_UH000: "This hierarchy timeframe is being edited by Upload Job."
7. Click on OK. The hierarchy remains locked and cannot be edited

• The upload application job failed due to using a template file that contained additional tabs/data/format not supported by the upload process.
• After the failure, the hierarchy timeframe was temporarily locked by the application job; this lock automatically releases after approximately 2 hours.

1. Wait approximately 2 hours for the temporary application job lock to be released automatically.
2. In Manage Product Hierarchies, choose Edit and unlock the hierarchy.
   
3. Use the correct template to upload hierarchy by clicking on Excel -> Export to Spreadsheet.
4. Make the necessary corrections in the exported file and re-upload it.
