3799061 - Cannot insert price validity interval in Manage Purchasing Info Records app in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• In the Manage Purchasing Info Records app, when editing a purchasing info record and opening the conditions area, only a Create Condition option is available; there is no option to insert a validity period within an existing price range.
• Example scenario: an existing condition validity is 2026-01-01 to 9999-12-31. When a user needs to insert a shorter price period within this range, the user must manually split it into three separate periods because the app does not support inserting a condition period automatically.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Manage Purchasing Info Records app.
2. Select an existing Purchasing Info Record.
3. Navigate to the Conditions section.
4. Select Create Condition.
5. Enter a new validity period that falls within the validity period of an existing condition.
6. Observe that the existing validity period is not automatically split.

The system does not automatically create or split multiple validity-period segments when a new condition is entered. Therefore, the observed behavior is standard functionality in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

The application does not automatically adjust the Valid To date of the existing condition to the day before the Valid From date of the new condition. The validity periods must be adjusted manually.
