3799114 - Manage inbound deliveries - Warehouse (f7922) freezes when creating handling unit from unpacked items tab; hu is created but ui remains on loading screen – sap s/4hana cloud public edition

• In the Manage Inbound Deliveries app (F7922), when creating a handling unit from the Unpacked Items tab, the UI remains on a loading screen and appears frozen.
• The handling unit is actually created in the background, but the user must click the browser Back button to exit and then re-enter the inbound delivery to see it.
• No error message is displayed.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Manage Inbound Deliveries app (F7922).
2. Search for an inbound delivery that has no goods receipts and no handling units.
3. Open the delivery and go to the Unpacked Items tab.
4. Select an item and choose Create Handling Unit.
5. Enter a packaging material and a handling unit count, then select Create.
6. Observe that the screen remains stuck on the loading state; after using the browser Back button and re-entering, the handling unit is present.

A known defect in the packing function on the Unpacked Items tab causes the UI to freeze after handling unit creation in the Manage Inbound Deliveries app.

1. Use the All Items tab to perform packing and create handling units as a temporary workaround. Avoid creating handling units from the Unpacked Items tab.
2. If the UI becomes unresponsive during HU creation, use the browser Back button to return to the previous view, then reopen the inbound delivery to confirm that the handling unit was created.
3. Plan to consume the corrective fix delivered with release 2608.02 / 2608 HFC05 (targeted by 2026-10-08), which resolves the freeze on the Unpacked Items tab.
4. After the fix is available in your tenant, retest HU creation from the Unpacked Items tab to confirm normal behavior.
