3799124 - In Case guided flow 'set step to done' completes entire flow and bypasses 'Finish' in SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Symptom

Clicking "Set Step to Done" in the final step closes the entire case flow and bypasses the "Finish" button.

Environment

SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In a case guided flow, navigate to the final step and click "Set Step to Done".
  2. Observe that the entire flow completes automatically and the "Finish" action is bypassed.

Cause

The last phase in the case flow is configured with Auto Progress Enabled. When all steps in that phase are completed, the phase (and consequently the flow) completes automatically.

Resolution

  1. Open System settings.
  2. Search for "case types" and open Case types.
  3. Locate and open the target case type.
  4. Open the active version in detail view.
  5. Go to the Case flow tab.
  6. Open the detail view of the last phase.
  7. Check the Auto Progress Enabled field and disable it if you require users to explicitly click "Finish".
  8. Save the changes.
  9. Test the case guided flow again to confirm that "Set Step to Done" only closes the current step and does not complete the entire flow.
  10. Repeat the adjustment for any other affected case types as needed.
