3799135 - Invoice correction request stuck in external tax queue with http 404 error in App Manage External Tax Postings (F3085) —SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition

• A credit memo generated from an invoice correction request performs a call to the external tax engine and gets stuck in the queue.
• The transaction is not sent to the external tax engine and does not appear there.
• In the App Manage External Tax Postings (F3085), the document shows as failed with error: Internal: SOAP:1007 SRT: Unsupported xStream found: ("HTTP Code 404 : Not Found").
• No call is made to CPI.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Create an invoice correction request and generate the related credit memo.
2. Post the credit memo so that external tax calculation is initiated.
3. Open App Manage External Tax Postings (F3085)
4. Check the Moved Out tab. 
5. Click on the Failed with error and observe the credit memo remains failed/stuck and shows the error "Internal: SOAP:1007 SRT: Unsupported xstream found: ("HTTP Code 404 : Not Found") with no call reaching CPI or the tax engine.

Incorrect endpoint URL maintained in the communication arrangement for scenario SAP_COM_0177 (External Sales and Use Tax Calculation Integration), leading to HTTP 404 and the failed outbound call.

1. Open the App Communication Arrangements (F1763).
2. Locate the arrangement for scenario SAP_COM_0177 (External Sales and Use Tax Calculation Integration).
3. Verify the external tax provider service endpoint URLs (for example, calculation/commit endpoints) and correct them to the valid provider URLs according to the provider’s specifications.
4. Save and activate the communication arrangement.
5. Open App Manage External Tax Postings (F3085), locate the failed posting, and reprocess/retry the transmission.
6. Confirm that the posting is successful and that the transaction appears in the external tax engine.
