[COE0020]Permission: "Rehire Inactive Employee (by 'match' in New Hire) for terminated employees appears upon Onboardee creation via API

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Ensure the API user has the RBP permission “Rehire Inactive Employee (by ‘Match in New Hire’)”
2. Call the OData API createOnboardee to initiate onboarding directly from an external system.
3. Get the error [COE0020]Permission: "Rehire Inactive Employee (by 'match' in New Hire)

This has been identified as a known issue in the Rehire on Old Employment flow when initiated via an external ATS/API, when the target population for rehire is enabled.

Workaround 

1. In Admin Center, go to Manage Data > Hire/Rehire Configuration and set Enable target population for rehire on old employment to No.

2. Go to Manage Permission Roles > Manage Hires and grant the API user’s role the following permissions:

   • Rehire Inactive Employee (by “Match in New Hire”)

   • Rehire Inactive Employee

There is no timeline for the code fix in the moment, however, it is possible to track directly with the Account Manager through the code OBX-45036
