3799422 - Bar chart variance not aligned with the bar it corresponds to when a measure is shown as triangle on a story in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Variance bar does not align with the bar it corresponds to when one measure is set to show as a Triangle.
• The issue started occurring after the 2026 QRC3 update of SAP Analytics Cloud.

SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.15.6

1. In SAP Analytics Cloud, create a story.
2. Insert a Bar/Column chart with at least two measures and one dimension.
3. In the Builder panel under Color, set one measure to Show As: Triangle.
4. In Chart Add-Ons, enable Variance, compare the first measure to the second, and set Show Variance as: Bar.
5. View the chart and observe that the variance bars are not aligned with their corresponding bars.

The issue is currently under investigation by development.

• Workaround: Change the affected measure to show from a Triangle to a Bar, so that the variance aligns with its bar on the chart.
