Candidate profile's first and last name is not saving for USA residents

SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

1. As an external candidate, start a job application.
2. Set the country/residency to USA.
3. Complete and submit the application.
4. In Recruiting (applicant/candidate workbench), observe that the candidate’s first and last name fields appear blank/not saved.

A job application business rule updates the first and last name from the legal first and legal last name fields when the country is set to USA, and because the legal name fields are empty, the rule overwrites the names with blank values.

1. Review the job application (and related) business rules that update First Name and Last Name when the country equals USA.
2. Adjust the rule to prevent blank values, for example by updating names only if Legal First Name and Legal Last Name contain values, or by mapping an alternative source when legal names are empty, or by removing this rule if not required.
3. Ensure the Legal First Name and Legal Last Name fields are populated where the rule depends on them.
4. Test the adjusted rule in a non-production environment and then deploy to production.
