3799676 - Persistent Rework Tasks on Custom CDS Views App Based on I_CostCenterText - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

After the SAP 2608 upgrade, a custom CDS view which uses I_CostCenterText as a data source continues to show the task "Republish your custom CDS view to update its access protection" even after republishing.

The pending rework task is blocking deployment of the software collection/hotfix to the productive system.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Custom CDS Views App.
  2. Open the affected CDS view.
  3. Check the Tasks tab.

Cause

This is a known issue after the SAP 2608 upgrade affecting custom CDS views based on I_CostCenterText. 

Resolution

A correction is available in the earliest available hotfix collection, HFC-04, which is scheduled to be deployed on 21 September 2026. The timeline is subject to change.
