Symptom

Unable to change default query on a popup in different page layouts to be support multiple business roles.

Environment

  • SAP Cloud for Customer core applications
  • C4C UI Framework

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open a popup which can land from any given BO.
  2. Observe that a given filter query is defaulted.
  3. Observe that the defaulted query overlaps or changes based on the most recent usage.
  4. However, if you try to create different layouts to change this default filter, notice that it does not work.

Cause

Defaulting filters on a popup is supported only at the primary layout level, so separate layouts do not isolate the query defaults.

Resolution

This is a technical limitation
