• API posting for movement type 532 fails during a planned reversal scenario of movement type 531 using API_MATERIAL_DOCUMENT_SRV.
• Error: MM_IM_API_MESSAGES/003 — “PROCESS WITH MOVEMENT TYPE 532 AND POSTING TYPE 1 IS NOT SUPPORTED”.

• SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. In MIGO, identify an existing material document posted with movement type 531 (receipt by-product).
2. Run the request and observe the response returning: MM_IM_API_MESSAGES/003 — “PROCESS WITH MOVEMENT TYPE 532 AND POSTING TYPE 1 IS NOT SUPPORTED”.

Customer is using the wrong service interface. There is an interface to cancel Goods Movement from header (Full reversal of the Material document) or at Item level (to cancel each individual item of a Material document).
