3799881 - How to Disable SAP Document AI for National ID Extraction During Personal Data Collection - Onboarding

Symptom

SAP Document AI in Onboarding automates National ID data extraction by displaying a pop-up during the Personal Data Collection step that prompts new hires to upload a copy of their National ID document. The extracted data is then automatically imported into the system. The feature can be disabled from the Onboarding General Settings page when AI-assisted extraction is not required for the instance.

Resolution

The SAP Document AI feature is controlled by a single toggle in Onboarding General Settings. Disabling the toggle prevents the upload pop-up from appearing during Personal Data Collection and stops the AI extraction from running for all new hires in the instance.

  1. Navigate to Admin Center > Onboarding General Settings.
  2. Locate the Enable SAP Document AI toggle.
  3. Set the toggle to Off.
  4. Save the settings. Note: Disabling SAP Document AI removes the automated extraction for all new hires in the instance. National ID data must be entered manually during Personal Data Collection. Note: This toggle controls the National ID Document AI feature only. It is unrelated to the AI Usage Acknowledgment prompt covered in KBA 3464736.

Expected Result: After the toggle is set to Off, the SAP Document AI pop-up no longer appears during the Personal Data Collection step and new hires are not prompted to upload a National ID document copy.
