3799940 - Delivery set to waiting for inspection after goods receipt in intercompany stock transfer return (2TS)

• After posting goods receipt for the inbound delivery of an intercompany stock transfer return (2TS), the delivery status changes to “Waiting for inspection”.
• When attempting to create the cross-company credit memo, the error message appears: “Inspection not closed, billing not possible.”

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Create an intercompany stock transfer return (scope item 2TS).
2. Create the outbound delivery and post goods issue.
3. Post goods receipt for the inbound delivery.
4. Create the credit memo for the inbound delivery and observe the requirement for inspection result and the error “Inspection not closed, billing not possible.”

• In the 2TS process, a dedicated Material Inspection step is mandatory and is part of the standard process flow。
• Creation of the cross-company credit memo is blocked until the Material Inspection is completed.

1. Acknowledge that Material Inspection in 2TS is standard and mandatory.
2. Complete the Material Inspection for the return delivery; after the inspection is closed, proceed with credit memo creation.
