3799976 - Application jobs: job result timestamps show backend timezone instead of user/job/btp timezone (request current market data) — SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• When running the job template “Request Current Market Data” to retrieve exchange rates, timestamps in the job “Result” section display in UTC.
• The displayed job result time differs from the configured user system timezone, the job timezone, and the btp timezone.
• Clarification is needed on why UTC is used instead of the user or job setting.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open Application Jobs and schedule/run the job template “Request Current Market Data.”
2. After completion, compare the timestamp shown in the Application Jobs list/detail (frontend) with the timestamp shown in the job “Result” section.
3. Observe that the “Result” section shows a different timezone (for example, UTC) than the user, job, or btp timezone.

The timestamps shown in the backend job “Result” section are determined by the backend system’s default timezone and do not adjust to the frontend (user), job, or btp timezone settings.

1. Use the timestamps shown in the Application Jobs interface (frontend) when a user-local time representation is required; these adjust to the frontend/user timezone.
2. Do not rely on the timestamps in the backend job “Result” section for local time, as they reflect the backend system’s default timezone by design.
3. If consistent display across views is required, align operational procedures to reference the frontend timestamps.
